Sending Happy Thoughts

 photo _MG_8076.jpg
I am still in love with Wild Rose Studio stamp set and i have many more that are still not used yet. So bear with me as i slowly create more works from their stamp collection.

Today features the cute cat opening a box of flowers. This image speaks more than just a mundane birthday card but more of a "I Miss You" card. I believe this image will cheer someone up or it is good to give to someone who happens to be ill or.... heartbroken? Possibilities are endless.

Image colored by color pencils and blended with Gamsol. Sentiment by Simon Says Stamp and papers are from Amy Tangerine 6x6 Pad. Drop me a comment if you would like to know the exact name of the products!

Mimi in PJ

 photo IMG_20140617_211416.jpg
If you haven't realized, i love Mimi from Penny Black! She is soooo cute. Be it in a Christmas outfit or PJs, she makes me feel like hugging her!

Stamped her in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Color Pencils and blended with Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirit.

Bubble Die-cut and sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp and background paper by Lawn Fawn.

It's been raining alot recently and i guess my cards are also taking its toll by turning dark and gloomy too. But the sentiment "thinking of you" fits well for this card. Best to be given to a male friend that you miss dearly since it is not too girly.

Slightly elevated from the card.

And the inside for you to write a message!

I've been real busy at work and in my personal life in a good way. I have more sales coming in and have been exercising alot recently. By alot, i mean 4 times in the month of August when it was only once every 3 months record. Haha.. somehow everyone wants to exercise this month and i'm feeling really exhausted especially when i have so many dinner appointments after work. Haven't even trim my brows and dye my roots!

Anyhow, Papermarket is opening a new outlet at Vivocity and it is so near my workplace! I guess another new shopping destination for me!

Majority of the time before i start making a card, i will have an idea in mind. Example i will tell myself "Let's make a birthday card" or "Let's make use of one of my new stamp set" or "Let's do some coloring" or maybe "Let's apply a new technique which i just learnt online".. And so this is how i kick start my cards.

For this card, I used a Monday to Sunday stamp set to create a background paper. With this busy background, i decided to use simpler sets of paper to match with it. The sentiment "Missing you" is foam alphabets by AC. Looped 3 rounds of The Twinery twines around the papers and tied a lovely knot to end of the card. Quick and simple without any decorations inside.

Hi! It's the weekend and i am featuring "You've got mail" stamp set by Lawn Fawn. Cute cute cute! Love the borders that is in the set too!

I realize alot of my friends are overseas studying and e-cards always seem to meaningless as compared to receiving a physical card. So do you have a friend out there that you miss too?

Photobucket
Wanted to keep it real simple by pasting washi tap at the top and bottom to finish the inside. I bet you wanna write more to your friend since the postage will already cost abit. Must as well write more right?

Started my weekend with a blast by having drinks with my friends and boyfriend at Acid Bar on Friday. Ye know, TGIF! It was a great night out especially when we had Mcdonalds after that and started playing LogoQuiz on iPhone. Totally fun when you 5 people guessing some of the world's famous logos. After playing the game, you will realize which are the companies who have strong branding for their logos, while some not so~ Go download it! ;)

Very simple card that is simply differentiated by the ribbon. Blue for HIM and pink for HER. Simple right?

Alphabets by Lawn Fawn.

Photobucket
The alphabets on the brown cardstocks are embossed with white embossing powder and stick onto the card without any 3D foam. Wanted the card to simple and flat, so eventually the inside of the card is plain too. no fancy paper or picture.

This card is not made particularly to anyone but i was thinking of an overseas friend while making this. Hope whoever who purchases this will bring a smile to someone else's face. :)
