Hi Everyone! I am so excited for Gerda because she has made her THIRD Rubber Stamp set! And her rubber stamps are always so full of images! They are definitely worth every penny of your money. Anyway the group of us (design team members) were given a sneak peak of the images and we got the privilege to choose which we wanted to design with. For me, i choose these set of cats because the first thing i thought of was "they are freaking singing!!" haha.. Boyfriend said "you should have put "Fa-La-La-La!". True enough, they can be singing that too!
Let me talk about the cats first....... They are colored with copic markers and i fussy cut them out. Remember to use a momento marker to outline the edges so it has a clean finish. Next, i pop their head up with foam squares and their bodies are glued down on the snow drifts. If you notice, i used pattern papers and vellum papers to create the snow drift with Mama Elephant stitched border dies. Lastly, i dug through a few stamp sets from various brands with musical notes to create the "singing" pattern above their heads.
Choosing a less complicated pattern paper, i took Lawn Fawn's "Snow Day" stamp set and VersaMagic Sea Breeze ink to stamp a snow fall scene.
Instead of using embossing paste with circle stencils to create dimensional snowfall, i used my belovered "Liquid Applique" instead! This tubes of paste works wonders! You hold them like a pen and it squeezes out from a fine tip nozzle. Squeeze out in circles and let it air-dry. DO NOT heat it while it is wet or it will go to waste. Once it is dry, heat it up with a heat gun and see it form into a foamy dot. It will really look like snow and it works great for the ball of the christmas hats too!
This card really makes my heart sing! I think it is time to tune in to some Christmas Carols! Go be jolly!
