Thanks For Being A Friend

Watercoloring has been the "In" technique recently in the crafting world and to be honest, i started with watercoloring as my go-to coloring at the beginning because i thought it was easy. BUT, it wasn't easy for me at all. Firstly, the papers peeled because i had no funds to invest in better quality papers. Then the colors won't stay inside the line! Geez! I was really bad at it. So i switched over to color pencils with Mineral Spirit blending and then i moved on with copics. And even though Copics are expensive and hard to use too. But at least it kept my coloring within the lines (OCD about it) and to me, if you are keen to learn coloring - LOOK at the images that are online. Take this images as references as you color your own. Look at where is colored with light colors and where has dark colors to help you on the shadows and highlights. The light color and dark colors will allow your images to appear dimensional - not flat.

So here's a card i am sharing today with the CC Design image colored with Copics. And the sentiment is from Mama Elephant stamped on a piece of watercolor paper which was watercolored with Inktense pencils over the Tim Holtz circle stencil. Even though it doesn't look like circles (because the water sipped under the stencil as i was working on it) but i love the vibrant colors from the Inktense pencils!
