 photo IMG_7268.jpg

Hi people! I've got this very pretty stack of Simple Stories Documented papers but the colors are very neutral which was a little hard for me to use because i am so used to using bright fun colors on my cards. I've been trying to use more papers from each of my paper pad so i can downsize my collections and have more space to buy the pretty new ones! haha..

So here's my take with Hero Art's wedding stamp along with the vintage brown color scheme. The yellow will definitely stand out on this card. And the sentiment is the sweetest.

Mid-Autumn Wedding

Photobucket

MLcraft had a great honor to present a wedding card inspired by the Mid-Autumn Festival because the couple decided to hold their wedding dinner on this very day. On this Chinese traditional day, the moon is the roundest and you might be able to see a rabbit if you look hard enough! Haha... ok, i'm kidding about the rabbit but yes, the moon is the roundest for tonight. Families will gather to eat mooncakes and carry lanterns as a form of celebration. I love to carry those old school lanterns made of papers which uses candles and chopsticks to carry but nowadays, most of the lanterns are battery operated. Where's the fun of it?!

Photobucket
Embossed making this scalloped square look like a mooncake. Ok, i think 50% look a-like lar!

The background is made and printed by myself. It contains all the lucky chinese idioms that are most commonly used during festive occasions. Can you spot some of it?

Sharing a wedding card i made for a lovely couple who got married recently and i had so much fun reading their proposal story online. The groom's initial ideal proposal setting was to be down on one kneel in front of the sunset. However, he was challenged with a downpour which made the groom anxiously finding a umbrella. The lucky thing is that he found an orange umbrella which was his favorite color and he brought the girl to the "jetty" to proposal. He got down on one kneel and the rain made the whole video so much more romantic. I am glad to be able to make a wedding card for them and hope they have a blissful marriage.

I have an awesome sister who is always tasking me to do wedding cards. I'm amazed with the number of weddings she attends. =O

Anyway, i knew the bride and she is a sweet lady who happened to have taught me earring making before. The class was not easy at all with all the twisting of wires! haha..

I had minimal knowledge of the wedding theme but my sister just mentioned to me that the colors used were blue and yellow. So i went along that line and created this.

Photobucket
Popped up Bride and Groom. And the flowers were dry embossed.

Photobucket
AC thickers glittered with waterfall stickles.

Photobucket
The inside of the card looks like this!

Photobucket
And the back of the card is an envelope style to insert money or the red packet for the couple.

The size of the entire card is the 8.5" by approximately 3.7".. Rectangle sized~

Photobucket
This box card is the same idea as the one i did for B in this entry: Boyf 25th Bday. I like the idea where the 2 iamges can be separated and the box will open to display whatever message or ang bao you wish to put in. Stamp set by The Greeting Farm.

Photobucket
Colored the head gown in light blue and glittered it with diamond stickers to produce a texture effect.

Photobucket
Opening the card.

Photobucket
A small card to write a message on.

Photobucket
The card can be taken out.

Photobucket
The inside of the box without the card. the paper is flocked so the texture is super comfy!

All papers are by DCWV. Super love the flocked series especially when the color scheme is black, white and beige-yellow. Very easy to match especially for a wedding theme.

2 Birds Become 1

Photobucket

Here i am with another wedding greeting card. Can't get enough of them because weddings are a happy occassion and to be honest, i've ever thought of being a wedding planner. But if i ever be one, i guess all the weddings must follow MY STYLE. lol.

I used the PPs that Joan gave me the last time because the whole stack had so many different colors and patterns to choose from and they coordinated well. I can only remember they are from DCWV. Ribbon from diaso, Twines from doodlebug and stamps from WRMK and Lawn Fawn.

Photobucket
Close up of the glittered heart using Stickles! Loveeeee my Ranger Stickles~~

Photobucket
Of course not forgetting the inside of the card.

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the week!

Wedding of Yujin & Esther

Photobucket
Customized Wedding Card made for my sister's friend, Yujin. The couple met at work and they work in the marine industry so the ship was the best picture to describe their love.

Photobucket
Flowers are from a flora trim i bought from my local fabric store. The spray at the background is handmade twisted by myself. I still enjoy making sprays myself than spending so much on it.

Photobucket
Sea being glitterified by Ranger's stickers so the image wouldn't look so flat.

Photobucket
AC Thickers and doodlebug twine to create a "sky" effect.

Photobucket
And of course the envelope must be pretty as well lar! haha..

The inside of the card allows my sis to insert the wedding angbao and write a message as well.

Marie's Wedding

Photobucket
Made a wedding ang bao instead of using a traditional one because traditional ones are a little boring and my ang bao money wasn't very big either. =X

Photobucket
Love the flower trims i bought at a fabric stall and she sold the "netting" too. Totally have the wedding gown "feel". hehe..

Photobucket
As usual, the spray is handmade. The flowers are from Prima, glittered with Stickers. The smaller purple flowers are actually solids and were bought from some handicraft shop near my office. Was a good find but abit expensive for my liking. But i really love how everything went well together.

Photobucket
First time i sat so near to the door because dear bf was the videographer of the night so he had to have "easy" access. Anyway, it was a nice experience cause i get to see the "door open" part. hehehe..

Photobucket
Wedding favours from the hotel. We ended up using the cups as shot glasses for the after party. LOL.

Photobucket
bf looked like a school kid with a school bag but that is actually his camera strip! And that tie adds on to the attire. As usual, my hands are shaking as i attempt to camwhore.

Photobucket
Second walk-in in her night dress which was so pretty because the red and black fitted so well!

Was a petty that i couldn't stay over because i had work the next day. I've known them for about 3-4years and we've been on holidays and parties together. Now i am glad that they are happily married.  :)
