Salvaging Photos

Photobucket
I made 2 A4 size layouts because the 2 photos were the same theme but took at different times. Both photos were taken on my council initiation, 1 i was a participant and another i was a leader. Both photos were initially framed in IKEA glass photo frames when given to me. And as i displayed it over a year plus, i found that one of the photo had stucked to the glass. Carefully, i decided to peel it out and even though some faces couldn't be saved, but i am glad i found out early and manage to salvage the rest.

Photobucket
The red badge represented "Marketing & Promotions" Department, which i am so proud off!

Photobucket
This is the second photo.. Both times the event happened at East Coast Park. So i got to use all my "beachy" theme papers.

Loving my JB Tab punch!

Alan's 26th Birthday

Photobucket

It's Friday already and i finally got a chance to post this album cover that i did for my good friend, Alan. He held his 26th birthday at MBS and the theme was red carpet, which is also the translation on the scramble letters. This album was bought from Prints and there are polariods, pictures and messages left on the day of the party by all his guest.

I had fun making this cover because we went shopping together and MWL was having a 50% off which made me buy even more stuff but at least he got to choose things that he liked at a cheaper rate. hehe.. what an excuse. =p

Photobucket
Studio Calico Camera Wood Veneer blinged with silver glitter that were kinda dropping because i put too much. =/ One of the most time consuming thing was to glue the rhinestones down onto the sides of the page because his invatation had this broadway lights effect.

Photobucket
KaiserCraft Cupcake with velvet red ribbon and M3H flat back pearls.

Photobucket
The red velvet ribbon is to portray the red carpet feel and i love the studio calico human veneers! Really tempted to get the pack of it now.

Photobucket
Hot glued this 2 buttons along with a stretchable ribbon to create a closure so that the album will not flip open. I must say, this creation is my most statisfied one!

Photobucket
And the stretchable ribbon closes to the back of the camera pin cap.

Hope you have a great weekend ahead!

First Wedding Invitation

Photobucket

For the first time im doing a 8.5" by 11" layout. Inititally wanted a smaller paper because the photos are card size. But i figured that i have 3 of them and i wanted to create a 2 page layout after watching some samples from Shimelle. The color is the theme color of her wedding. Vintage, tiffany blue and type writter style.

Photobucket
The red press mark was taken from Fiona's wedding invitation card. Can't help but had to stuff some feathers in by the side. hehe.

Photobucket
Bird chipboard from Joan, which i believe are from Maya Road. The ribbon is taken from her wedding invitation card too. haha.. RE-USE.

Photobucket
Listed the things i enjoyed that night.

Photobucket
The pretty bride and handsome groom.

Photobucket
Love the simple stories collection with the vintage papers. Totally fit into the theme for the LO.

Photobucket
The photo mats and the vintage lady in camera were from the postcards given out during her wedding reception. They were all so pretty and i had to hoard a few for myself.

Halloween AGM

Once again, this sem's AGM has a theme to it. Since we missed halloween due to exams, the excos brought it back during AGM. Not alot of people dressed up but those that did - they were pretty scary. So from the looks of it, I won the best dress along with another 2 girls and this scary makeup is thanks to Sarah bcos I told her to make me into the character found in nightmare before Christmas. Haha.. Got a fair bit of comments on facebook, telling me to take down. So... Are you having your nightmares before Xmas now?

Anyway, CongratZ to the new exco!

Recollection

Photobucket
One of the greatest highlights during my 2 months holiday was the SIM RMIT Orientation Camp. I'm past that stage of being a freshie, so there i was - NOT a photographer or a Group Leader but a Game Master. Which was pretty boring because my game station was boring. But still, the overall rocked because the heavy downpour on the last day. We were all playing water bombs in the rain and kicking puddles of water at each other - like little kids.

This jacket is super cosy!

The whole marketing preparation robbed away quite a bit of my time and i had to attend meetings and go to work at the same time. Coming up next is the Annual Bash.

Gonna wait for donkey months before i see her again. SIGH! But it was a great night spent at H.V's Coffee Bean with Ben and Gin because we had the usual Gin the Joker.

Before i end off, I attended the Singapore Art Festival with Isaac and they displayed some fire display along boat quay. It was super hot! but i think some of the displays were really pretty.

A Glimpse of Resort World

I set foot onto Resort World on Tuesday because of a last minute job lobang from Wilson. Thanks man!

The job was pretty easy. Just usher and recept duty for a conference held at RW.

Saw the outside of the casino and universal studio. So I took a photo of the globe like anyother tourist over there. Haha.

Fear Factor SIM-RMIT edn

Photobucket
*Gasping for air* I'm back! Back from all the school work that have been strangling me. Finally, one last assignment to hand in on Tues then the exam revision starts! Anyway, my month of March was also well defined by the group of crazy councilors. I played my part for my first event (Fear Factor SIM-RMIT Edition) by being a photographer. Its kinda my first time doing it alone so i was pretty scared. And i choose to use the 50mm lens to be different from the other photographer. Not all photos were good, but i've chosen a few to share with you guys.

P/S: Event was open to all SIM students, not only RMIT students. $300 worth of Capital Land Voucher was won!

Photobucket
I went over earlier before the event to see see look look but i ended up smelling more than looking. The smell of everything gross was super pungent. Gosh. This is Natto and i am not foreign to it but some of the contestant couldn't take it.

Photobucket
Sticky sticky feeling.

Photobucket

Photobucket
And the first group to win the first round.

Photobucket
2nd round - They were suppose to feel whats in the box.

Photobucket

Photobucket
The tank of mealworms.. Bart enjoyed playing with it!

Photobucket
3rd round - place your hands in and get the ice cream stick with your name.

Photobucket
She was initially very very scared. but she overcome it!

Photobucket
4th round - to drink a cup of disgusting juice and eat fried cockroach.

Photobucket
A fat cockroach being ripped apart...

Photobucket

Photobucket
This group is definitely ON one.

Photobucket

Photobucket
She was definitely trying her very best to swallow everything down.

Anyway, if you are a SIM student and had miss this opportunity to join our Fear Factor Event.... Fret not, we have many other events coming up in the near future. Just look out for our booth next semester!

Photobucket
This is your blogger here, saying "hi!". I know i've cut down my frequency to blog cause my eyes are either glued to the TV watching CSI or i am doing my project.

Anyway, i have my 1st 2 test results out! So happy, both HD. The only time i got A in Poly was for my OIAP semester. So this 2 HDs are kinda my precious. But it is really true that you will feel pressure when you are studying for your next test and exam! Gosh! you just want to keep maintaining that grade. =/ I won't take my grades for granted cause i have to really thank Q and R. They are the ones who lend me their notes when i skip lecture to finish my other assignments. And they are the one who accompany me to study and do assignments. They are really my treasure in SIM. HAHA! 宝贝~~~~

Photobucket
In the month of March i also met up with D.A.N. sisters. So happy to see them! N went to Taiwan and bought us lovely things.. I have strawberry chocolate in condom packaging - super cute cause it shocked my sister and gave my jie-fu a good laugh! And above all, i have an extra present of Green tea Mochi. Its nice! but only 6 pieces instead, so its finished now!

a month plus has pass since sweetie pie went to Sydney and she just lost her phone. SIGH! she's always so careless. Luckily is just phone and not other important stuff like IC or passport. She seems to be doing great over there with her friends and i'm glad! She's cooking almost every now and then and i believe her stress in school work will overcome as the time pass.

P/S: i had my first ever KOI on wednesday, thanks to Flora!
