Alan's 26th Birthday

Photobucket

It's Friday already and i finally got a chance to post this album cover that i did for my good friend, Alan. He held his 26th birthday at MBS and the theme was red carpet, which is also the translation on the scramble letters. This album was bought from Prints and there are polariods, pictures and messages left on the day of the party by all his guest.

I had fun making this cover because we went shopping together and MWL was having a 50% off which made me buy even more stuff but at least he got to choose things that he liked at a cheaper rate. hehe.. what an excuse. =p

Photobucket
Studio Calico Camera Wood Veneer blinged with silver glitter that were kinda dropping because i put too much. =/ One of the most time consuming thing was to glue the rhinestones down onto the sides of the page because his invatation had this broadway lights effect.

Photobucket
KaiserCraft Cupcake with velvet red ribbon and M3H flat back pearls.

Photobucket
The red velvet ribbon is to portray the red carpet feel and i love the studio calico human veneers! Really tempted to get the pack of it now.

Photobucket
Hot glued this 2 buttons along with a stretchable ribbon to create a closure so that the album will not flip open. I must say, this creation is my most statisfied one!

Photobucket
And the stretchable ribbon closes to the back of the camera pin cap.

Hope you have a great weekend ahead!

Boyf 25th Bday

Photobucket
Was inspired by a youtube user. She called this card a "Box card" because it can be opened up like a box. Decided to give it a try and made this for my boyfriend's 25th birthday. Lace from Diaso and the bling bling bend is from one of my old stash. I poured mod podge into a cup and mixed brown paint and glitters into it so the mod podge would stick the glitters down. Painted the Maya Road Chipboard Alphas and sprinkled somemore glitters on it. Surprisingly, the glitters won't fall off crazily now!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Placed a note in it to contain my love letter.

Photobucket

Photobucket
It can be deflated flatly, which is a good idea for wedding cards because you can put the ang bao money inside!

First Wedding Invitation

Photobucket

For the first time im doing a 8.5" by 11" layout. Inititally wanted a smaller paper because the photos are card size. But i figured that i have 3 of them and i wanted to create a 2 page layout after watching some samples from Shimelle. The color is the theme color of her wedding. Vintage, tiffany blue and type writter style.

Photobucket
The red press mark was taken from Fiona's wedding invitation card. Can't help but had to stuff some feathers in by the side. hehe.

Photobucket
Bird chipboard from Joan, which i believe are from Maya Road. The ribbon is taken from her wedding invitation card too. haha.. RE-USE.

Photobucket
Listed the things i enjoyed that night.

Photobucket
The pretty bride and handsome groom.

Photobucket
Love the simple stories collection with the vintage papers. Totally fit into the theme for the LO.

Photobucket
The photo mats and the vintage lady in camera were from the postcards given out during her wedding reception. They were all so pretty and i had to hoard a few for myself.

The $1 box

Photobucket Boyf started saving $1 coins a month ago, so i decided to help him "build" a box so he can "feed" it. Bought this ugly looking flower box from Diaso and took it home to paint it into beige. Misted with Fern Green Maya Mist and Perfect Pearl Water for the added shimmer. Followed by pasting heart shaped ribbons to act as "grass" or "ferns".

Warning, the top and the bottom of the box didn't match like a single entity. LOL! I was just going by my feeling and whatever i was happy with~ Anyway, to me - he MUST use it. =p

Photobucket Okay, this is how the top looks like! I didn't feel inspired to make something masculine so i didn't care and went ahead with feminine wedding theme. haha! Exploring my options to make wedding ang bao boxes in future..
The paper flowers were bought from Diaso and Spotlight. Painted them to light orange.
The felt flowers are handmade and the red rose in the middle is by Prima.
Butterfly punched from the EK Success Layer punch. I used UTEE powder to create a "thick" embossed look and used Ranger's stickers to glitter the wings.
The chinese trim surrounding the top of the box was bought from a sewing shop. It was pretty expensive for a yard.

Photobucket
Decided to take a photo of how i made the felt flower. I learnt from various users from youtube, blog and pinterest and decided to give it a shot since i had left over felt from christmas.
Cut the felt 2 inch wide and glue the edge together. Cut small strips along the un-glued side to create the petals.
Cut a piece of round cardstock and use glue gun to stick the flower down.
In order to fill the hole in the middle, you can either put a button or a flower.
Cut my feathers into smaller pieces and glued them beneath it too.
Attached a short piece of mini pearl string to add some elegance.

Photobucket
Used a MR Pin and inserted different size and type of beads in. Love this combination!

Boyfr said that i can have a treat limited to 10% of what is being saved in there when the box is full. I sealed the box up entirely so he can't open it in between to "cheat". Hope he will be motivated enough to complete filling up the box! :)

Cute Title

Photobucket
This is one of the cutest titles i have thought of so far. This birthday card was made for my dearest friend, Qiuting, whom i have known so long but still didn't know what present to get for her. However, i know she appreciates every card i have made for her. So i set out to make a card first then think about the present later. Choose a favourite Penny Black stamp and started coloring it. As i colored, it suddenly amused me that the character looked like it was trying to squeeze itself into the box. So a title suddenly popped up and i immediately jotted it down! "HOW I WISH I COULD WRAP MYSELF UP FOR U." However.............. while stamping the alphabets... i missed out up and went for "2u" instead. Anyway, the meaning is there!

Photobucket
I've got to admit that i really love Ranger's stickers because i have always had a love hate relationship with glitter stuff. I like the blings but i hate the ones that will keep dropping and i end up having some blings on my face and stubborn ones on my hands that can't seem to wash off. But Ranger's stickers are super blinged and they definitely won't fall all over the place! Cheers to that!

Marie's Wedding

Photobucket
Made a wedding ang bao instead of using a traditional one because traditional ones are a little boring and my ang bao money wasn't very big either. =X

Photobucket
Love the flower trims i bought at a fabric stall and she sold the "netting" too. Totally have the wedding gown "feel". hehe..

Photobucket
As usual, the spray is handmade. The flowers are from Prima, glittered with Stickers. The smaller purple flowers are actually solids and were bought from some handicraft shop near my office. Was a good find but abit expensive for my liking. But i really love how everything went well together.

Photobucket
First time i sat so near to the door because dear bf was the videographer of the night so he had to have "easy" access. Anyway, it was a nice experience cause i get to see the "door open" part. hehehe..

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Wedding favours from the hotel. We ended up using the cups as shot glasses for the after party. LOL.

Photobucket
bf looked like a school kid with a school bag but that is actually his camera strip! And that tie adds on to the attire. As usual, my hands are shaking as i attempt to camwhore.

Photobucket
Second walk-in in her night dress which was so pretty because the red and black fitted so well!

Was a petty that i couldn't stay over because i had work the next day. I've known them for about 3-4years and we've been on holidays and parties together. Now i am glad that they are happily married.  :)

More Presents

Photobucket
 For my love one. ;)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Packed a few boxes of chocolates as a small token of gift exchange with my uni friends. There were Kisses, Mars bar and Toblerone chocolates. All the sweetest chocolates for my sweetest friends!

Photobucket
In exchange, one of the present i got was diabetic-friendly chocolates! I and my marketing group members did our final semester project on Cacao7 and the lady boss still remembers us when my friend went to buy chocolates from her. haha.. i totally laugh out loud when he gave us the box of chocolates. It wasn't a nightmare but more like a funny moment. Gonna miss those days with them.

Anyway, its 2012 already and i have many things left undone before i start work on Tuesday. The number 1 problem is: I haven't pack my working clothes out of the other wardrobe to put in my current one. =/

I really hope 2012 will be as good as 2011. ;)

Christmas 2011

Photobucket

This year's Christmas is by far the best I've ever had because presents were all practical, useful and i attended majority of the traditional xmas parties (other than Marie's house party). These are all the presents i received this year and majority came from my relatives. I'm going to totally rock the elmo socks this chinese new year! haha...

Photobucket
This year, the NPvball clique held our 4th (3 years consecutive) xmas party together at Yingxuan's house. That is famous Penny sniffing out the presents before the clock strikes 12mn!

Photobucket
We had bbq food this year and everything was so yummy! We had tons of chips to munch on after that too!

Photobucket
Last year, we altered photo frames for everyone who attended. This year, I and yingxuan decided to make a card holder to store the photos printed on that night. So on the spot, we printed the group photos and everyone had a piece of Polaroid photo to take home too!

Photobucket
Plus we inserted a tag to remind everyone that they attended the 2011 party!

I guess the funniest thing that happened that night was us trying to remember if we had celebrated in 2009. We went to the extend of asking yingxuan to dig out her Hard-disk to see if there were any photos. And indeed, there were a few! ALL THE GUYS WERE BOTAK and we played heart attack that year!

Photobucket
Many years have passed and we are starting to lose our happy memories. Let's hope we will remember what happened this year when christmas comes in 2012. =)

Fiona's Wedding

Photobucket
It's been a long time since i attended a wedding and this is my first wedding of a friend that i'm attending.

Photobucket
Their theme was vintage and tiffany blue.

Photobucket
Pan Pacific Ballroom.

So she had a typewriter for guest to type their message or they could write on vintage postcards that she had prepared. The postcards were soooooo pretty!! I kept running my fingers through the stack of cards to find the prettiest one.. But they were all so pretty! Wish i could have taken a few home to keep. =X

Their indoor photoshoot album was so cute too. One of the scene was in some vintage old mama-shop setting. And they were wearing geeky spects and holding colorful lollipops. CUTE!

Photobucket
They had a live band at the corner singing all the love songs through the night and i am SO GOING TO TAKE THE FREAKING SONG LIST! Every single songs were so nice.

Photobucket
The emcee was one of my friend, Vincent. I think he really did very well. Though it really felt like i was listening to a chinese radio station. LOL.

Photobucket
It was really an honour to be invited and i got one of the best seats! haha.. i sat next to the VIP table right at the front!

Photobucket
Every guest will always have a gift and i always dread those that give salt & pepper bottles, i rather receive chocolates. But this time round, this box contains something really cute and useful!

Photobucket
Measuring spoons!

Photobucket
Every spoon has a quote and they really bring a smile on my face.

Photobucket
There was a "special" photographer that night who took photos and printed them into card-size pictures to give us. Every one in the photo will get one copy and it was a nice way to remember the night.

This is the wedding gift that Flora did for her sister, Fiona. Love the color on the frame! I really didn't help much because i only lend her my place to do the shadow frame and let her disturb me. =p

Fiona's a wedding planner and this wedding is definitely an extraordinary one with many hardwork put in! Congratulations Fiona!
