Cute Title

Photobucket
This is one of the cutest titles i have thought of so far. This birthday card was made for my dearest friend, Qiuting, whom i have known so long but still didn't know what present to get for her. However, i know she appreciates every card i have made for her. So i set out to make a card first then think about the present later. Choose a favourite Penny Black stamp and started coloring it. As i colored, it suddenly amused me that the character looked like it was trying to squeeze itself into the box. So a title suddenly popped up and i immediately jotted it down! "HOW I WISH I COULD WRAP MYSELF UP FOR U." However.............. while stamping the alphabets... i missed out up and went for "2u" instead. Anyway, the meaning is there!

I've got to admit that i really love Ranger's stickers because i have always had a love hate relationship with glitter stuff. I like the blings but i hate the ones that will keep dropping and i end up having some blings on my face and stubborn ones on my hands that can't seem to wash off. But Ranger's stickers are super blinged and they definitely won't fall all over the place! Cheers to that!

Secret Gathering Part II

Photobucket
I am pretty sure i am very very late in updating this photos. But its the weekend again and i think its time to blog once again!

During my birthday week, i had a meetup with Qiuting and Yvonne near my workplace to have some cheap food. So we had dinner at the nearby market and then we headed to Starbucks for some coffee. The ladies bought me a strawberry yogurt and the top layer that you see is the yogurt unmixed. It tasted real gross without mix.

We rant non-stop and figured that as we grow older, our topics really change. From ranting about school to ranting about work. And when we left, we said "eh.. got to go home liao. tomorrow still got work. Sian." LOL. Remember how we used to say "eh... got to go home liao. tomorrow still got 9am lecture."

Noodle Days

Shanghai peeps! Remember those days when we eat noodles and have our forks stuck this way?

I was in the office alone this afternoon. Decided to eat cup noodles instead of going down into the lunch crowd. Felt restless the whole day lo.

Anyway, after i poured the water. I saw the fork that was provided by 7-11. Suddenly remembered the days in Shanghai where i spammed alot of their dry noodles during winter because they are really nice and easy to prepare! I love their dry cup noodles packaging. Seriously, mess-free.

Their bowl will always have a marking at the opening for you to poke your fork through. Afterwhich the seal will be "locked" by the fork and you can just wait to eat. I was really fascinated by this idea because there are times when you put the fork on top and the seal just keeps rolling up? These saves it. Now you learn something yea?

P/S: I wish to find those square cup noodles which are dry flavoured. Not mee goreng but the onion oil or bean paste flavours! YUM YUM.

The many activities with you

Caught night at the museum 2 last thursday and i must say that it is not as nice as the first part. The jokes were very verbal and i think too "cold". Prefer the first part where actions do most of its laughter. Anyway, its still worth a catch.

On Saturday, i made my first visit to wild wild wet after 19 years of living. It was a free entry because i had the family day tickets, so it was a really chill-lex day. Love the Foam Area they had. HAHA.. you know those foam parties zouk has? Yea, there i was playing around it. Then i took one of the crazy rides that requires 2 person to sit in the float and it slides down from a very very high end and goes a U-Shape.

WAIT! Let me find a picture online.......

Photobucket
Okay, not really the picture that i wanted to show, but READ the description! I swear it was scary.

Headed down to the OIAP gathering after that.....

The long awaited gathering for the OIAP since we came back was arranged last saturday at Sheryl's house. Thanks to the hard work of Qiuting and Sheryl, the bbq was possible. I only helped a little as i was really busy (that explains why i'm missing from the bloggersphere) Anyway, there were alot of left over food at the end of the day. And almost everyone got thrown down the swimming pool, sheryl clocking in the most number of times. haha!

Wrong click

Warning to people who have eaten the shao kao near my house in Shanghai:

DO NOT CLICK ON QIUTING'S BLOG.

Ku-ku lar. Her cousin went over to Shanghai and took a photo with the Shao Kao. Now i miss it darn alot. And then qiuting mentions the Yong Tou Fu that till now, i still love the vinegar to the max.

Regretted clicking on her blog because i am so hungry now and nothing can satisfy my mouth cause shao kao and yong tou fu goes best together!

On a lighter note: i spent my past 2 days sending out resumes (countless till i lost count) and its so nice to hear 2 phone calls today. Pretty much looking forward to be selected to work in the Far East Organisation. Sounds like a fun and challenging job.

Meanwhile, tml is another phone calling day to hog the SIM private unis.

Little update

Heavily relying on the application "Iphoto", i have found myself being lazy in updating photos because i can just chunk them in Iphoto and not worry it will take up alot of the spaces in my hard disk. =/

Feels like something is lacking in my life....... i want so much..... and it all goes down to earning more money. Yet, i just want to lie back in my bed and stare into my ceiling.

Some photos i got out. I went to Zhouzhuang, which was a water village like Venice. And it was really pretty. Although there were so many similar bridges, but the view is something you don't get in singapore. It is a 2hr bus ride out of Shanghai. Went there with Isaac, so the photos turn out to be all so pretty. =D

Look who's here

Have been back for a week. Yeah, touched down on the 14th March with alot of people not knowing. The volleyball co. came to pick me and i had a surprise guest tapping on my shoulder at the airport too. haha.. really came as a surprise!

Had a serious overweight - ON MY BAGGAGE. 16kg in total. Stupid lady didn't give me any allowance. And i learnt that there is an excess of 5kg given to deal with minor disputes. DARN! i should have made a minor dispute to save on 5kg. Too bad, i was alone when i flew back. BOO! =(

Ben and yingxuan drove back to my place and have my things put down. Took a nice bath with the body shop gift they bought for me.

Really smells good in strawberry.

Photobucket
Anyway, i have spent my 1 week catching up with the food that i have missed out. Met some of my friends, packed my room and find some jobs. Coming back also made me feel so much more lazier. =x

empty room, lonely house

Its in the middle of the early Monday morning.
No more work, so can sleep late.
But i spent the past 3 hours packing.

Isaac dropped by Shanghai and we met up.
Thanks for all the help in packing my boxes. HAHA! Shipping 4 boxes back to SG. That includes gift inside. It was super last minute that i decided to ship the gifts back too. Cause some are too heavy and my 3 packs of clothes couldn't go into 2 boxes. =/

On 8th March, which is Sunday.

3 things i want to note:

1. Happy Birthday Dad. I didn't call back because my hp value doesn't have enough to last, so i hope someone (e.g kor or jie) is reading this and they will past my lovely wish to you. =)

2. Dorcas, Yvonne and Gary left. Shibin left on Sat. Within a weekend, 4 left. Its seriously very emotional although we have plans to meet up in makan place in less than a month time. *Sighs* Feels real weird. Yesterday they were staying over at my place, now they are chatting with me on msn in Singapore.

3. Isaac left for Singapore on Sunday night. Sent him off although i got a very bad diarrhea. I have no idea what the hell i ate again, but the sharp pain in my stomach is real bad. =(

Last night i had 7 people in my house. Tonight there is only i and yongcheng left. Sigh.

If i can list the number of things i miss right now, it would make up to about 10. Full of emotions even though there was a warning sign hung there saying "Don't get use to it".

Nights everyone.

Its just pure laziness

Qiuting: "他们讲说这边不能放烟火"
oppps!

I have booked my flight back. And it shall remain a secret on when i will be back. SOMEWHERE in march. haha!

I have got sooooo many things to do before going back. Got to go dig those good food and nice scenery places because i realise i didnt manage to explore Shanghai.

Things is going great over here as the crowd is getting smaller.. Got to be honest that i am really getting use to the life here. =x

Counting down

I am counting down to a number of things.

And the first on the list would be the submission of final report this friday at 5pm. Submit and i will be as free as a bird already!

I have about a month left before i head back to SG and i have to admit that this 6months here have broaden my VIEWS. Misses to all my friends especially yingxuan because i always laugh or smile when i read her blog.

Some random photos taken out from my Beijing trip!

Standing on the Summer Palace Lake that turned into one thick pile of ICE.

Gary dozed off within 5mins after sitting down in the train

The famous Great Wall

We mischievously climbed into the gigantic JAR in the Summer Palace which later led to a security guard scolding us. HAHA. not really scold lar. Just, ye know, NAG.

It got me thinking that i might have been always sending wrong signals. But i hope this time i get the signal correct.

I've got the best

Happy New (牛) Year
*Picture taken in Nanjing*

I am working on a Sunday because it is stated so in the China calendar. Actually it isn't that bad. Because there are only 7 (inc me) in the office! HAHA! We are all chatting and eating chinese new year cookies.

The door bell rings and i see Singpost Parcel in the Mr.Postman hands! YEAPS! Another VERY HEAVY box from my sister!

YES, i've got the Best Sister. And everyone is so jealous of me now esp the interns from Singapore.

Figured that the box really contain too much goodies, of which MOSTLY are my favorite and it will all cause a great amount of damage to my throat. *AH HEM*

DYING FOR IT. My VERY BERY VERY favorite.

The Pineapple Tarts are nice. Not sticky to my teeth and they are not very sweet/sour. Hee. Happy Happy.

Shared my little goodies with my colleagues because these are too much for me.

P/S: I just came back from another Roadtrip in Beijing and it is so fun there. I didn't even complete all the attractions. Shall head there next time again!

wheres my roommate?!

Last night my big family downsized to 3 pax again. And that also means that my attachment is really nearing the end. Gosh. EMO last night. Slept in bed alone and i do admit that the room now is very empty. weird too~~

Anyway, really did enjoy her company in the night and the days when we plan to dress up together and head out. And obviously, the days when she says "do you think this looks weird?"

Thank God her boss sent them to the airport cause they filled the back of the MVP to the max. Poor driver said "WAH KAO" when he carried Sheryl's biggest treasure bag. HAHA! classic.

I will be on another roadtrip this chinese new year to Beijing. So ciaos!

No jeans

Winter makes people lazy and hungry.

I am not busy at work. Just a dread when i see so many nice photos and there are so many i want to blog.

RANDOM-NESS:
Living in an ice age..
Figured that i will avoid jeans when i am back in SG, cause i wear it almost everyday here. -.-
Taobao website in China provides a better reason why i am staying home right after work!
Holga 135BC is something i am going to invest in! I bet it will be so fun. Hee! Esp when photos are from overseas.
Complete SIAN-NESS because Final Report is going to be due.
Planning another trip to Beijing during CNY! More salt rubbing onto the pocket wound. =/
